Thoughts of Devotion:
In this year 2021 the Holy Spirit wishes to speak into our lives. The Word continually teaches us that He desires to have a close and intimate fellowship with us. It is in this intimate communion that he will reveal his plans, purposes and vision for our lives. We see that Scripture demonstrates this statement to us over and over again, whoever has an ear, let him hear! In John 14:26 he tells us, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” We understand that every man has a natural ear, but only he who has his spirit ear tuned to the Holy Spirit will be able to hear and be taught through him.
Today it is necessary that we have our ear sensitive to his voice, in Hebrews 3: 7-8 he tells us, “Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness.” Today we cannot be deaf or indifferent to his voice, he wants to do a great work in us if we just spend some time alone with him. It is in these moments that the Holy Spirit will speak to us through the Word, and we will come out ministered and blessed in a great way!
Today I personally believe that there must be an urgency to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. We cannot be satisfied with the condition of our spiritual life. It is necessary to seek God’s direction for our life, to be able to know his vision for us. In Ephesians 5:17 he tells us, “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” There is no reason to be confused or not have a clear understanding of what the Holy Spirit wants to do in our lives and congregation. Let us passionately seek his presence and he will reveal to us the great things that are to come.
