Bible Versions:

(MSG) -So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God. “Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I’ll be a Father to you; you’ll be sons and daughters to me.” The Word of the Master, God.

(AMP) “So come out from among unbelievers and be separate,” says the Lord, “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will graciously receive you and welcome you [with favor],

(VOICE) So then turn away from them, turn away and leave without looking back,” says the Lord. “Stay away from anything unclean, anything impure, and I will welcome you.

Thoughts of Devotion:

Today the Holy Spirit calls us to consecration, to a life that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father. A life that reflects His divine nature in us. But for this to happen, we must abandon all unclean things! Those things that separate us from having an intimate communion with the Holy Spirit. There is no relationship between light and darkness, as 2 Corinthians 6:16 tells us, “And what agreement is there between the temple of God and the idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God said: I will dwell and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. “

Our main task is to build our spiritual temple. As 1 Peter 2: 5 declares to us, “You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house and a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” But this will only be achieved when we leave, and we separate ourselves from the bad influences of this world. If we do not do this we will never have a genuine intimacy with the Holy Spirit. He cares for us, he wants to have us exclusively for him, that we live consecrated lives for his divine purposes! Only in this way can we experience this new nature.

This morning we must understand that our life no longer belongs to us, now our whole being belongs to God! Our life must be offered as a living sacrifice to God, just as the Apostle Paul exhorts us in Romans 12:1, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasant to God, who is your rational worship.” Only through the power of the Holy Spirit will we be able to abandon the works of the flesh, and present ourselves as a living, holy sacrifice that pleases God. In our strength we can never achieve it, it is going to take for us to separate ourselves from sin, and run to the place of communion with the Holy Spirit! Amen.
