Devotional Thought:

Have you ever stopped to reflect on how limited our knowledge is? We are finite beings in countless aspects, including the spiritual! In Jeremiah 33:3, God promises the prophet to teach him secrets, mysteries, and great things that he could not understand without divine revelation. This reminds us of 1 Corinthians 2:9, which says: “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'” God’s knowledge transcends our limited understanding; it is unattainable for the human mind by itself.

It is precisely the understanding of this profound truth that drives us to fervently seek the revelation and knowledge that can only be obtained through sincere prayer and diligent pursuit of divine wisdom. James 1:5 offers us a powerful promise: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” We have at our disposal the best source of knowledge and wisdom to discern God’s plans and will for our lives in any situation we face. There is no excuse for being confused or ignorant about what God has prepared for us in the future.

All we need to do is ask, call, and seek His face in prayer with all our strength and with all our heart. Jesus promised us this in Luke 11:9-10: “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” What a wonderful promise, that He responds to those who seek Him! His will, His plans, and His purpose for our lives will be revealed before us if we set aside distractions and seek His presence with all our being. We thank God that He hears the cry of those who seek Him with a humble heart and is willing to reveal His mysteries and plans that have remained hidden to our limited perception until now.

Key Scriptures:

Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) — 28 “But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Your works.”

Luke 11:9–10 (NKJV) — 9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

Isaiah 64:4 (NKJV) — 4 “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him.”

Matthew 21:22 (NKJV) — 22 “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Psalm 25:14 (NKJV) — 14 “The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.”

Amos 3:7 (NKJV) — 7 “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.”

1 Corinthians 2:9–11 (NKJV) — 9 “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.”
