Thoughts of Devotion:

The Bible teaches us the importance of putting our faith into action in order to see God’s provision in our lives. It is only when we put the Word of God into action that we will see the result, a supernatural provision! In Hebrews 11:6 it tells us, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” If we really want to see all that God has for us, to see that he supplies our every need, the key is to act in faith on his promise!

Isaac made a decision to plant in the land where God had indicated. Although rational prudence indicated that no planting would be feasible, given the drought that devastated the place, Isaac obediently sowed, without hesitation. He decided to obey God, instead of remaining paralyzed in the face of the circumstances that surrounded him. Isaac recognized that the seed that God had placed in his hands was to sow, not to eat, as 2 Corinthians 9:10 tells us, “Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”

What a blessing to be able to serve a God who multiplies our seed! He will always be faithful to his promise, when we make the decision to act in faith, the results will be supernatural. Today is the time to take God at His Word, it is not the time to doubt! The harvest is coming, it is the time to experience God’s supernatural harvest in our lives. God’s promise in Psalm 37:19 tells us that those who trust in him “…shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.” Let’s anticipate that faith will always yield great results, let’s sow with faith and God will take care of our harvest.
