Daily Reading Plan

Bible Versions:

Matthew 11:12 (NLT) – 12 And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.

Matthew 11:12 (NIV) – 12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.

Matthew 11:12 (MSG) 12 For a long time now people have tried to force themselves into God’s kingdom. But if you read the books of the Prophets and God’s Law closely, you will see them culminate in John, teaming up with him in preparing the way for the Messiah of the kingdom.

Thoughts of Devotion:

This morning, if we are going to see barriers break in our lives, it will take us to possess a radical and violent attitude in the Lord. We see that this was what characterized John the Baptist. He was a determined person, full of vigor and strength. A violent man in the spirit, full of zeal and fervor for the things of the Lord, a radical man who snatched the kingdom! He understood what Jesus said in Luke 16:16, “The law and the prophets wereuntil John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.”

John the Baptist teaches us that the kingdom of God makes its way with force, disrupting the status quo that has been set by others. He understood that the kingdom of heaven was not achieved only by having good intentions but was reserved for the desperate! Those who are willing to do what it takes to get it. No doubt in the kingdom, those who wish to experience another level, break limits, experience all that God has for them … will never happen by remaining passive and lazy, but diligent and passionate! Those who are possessed by a desire to reach other levels of glory, who do not settle under any conditions (tenacity) and who do not abandon the struggle until they have reached the desired blessing.

The spiritual life, the experience of breaking down barriers is not intended for those who live in comfort, and indifference … But for those who strive and persevere in the spiritual things that produce results. I wish we could see more of these men and women stand up in this 90-day challenge! People who possess burning in their hearts a holy violence, impetus, ardor, spiritual passion as they have never seen in their lives, that break barriers in their lives, families, and ministries!

If we want to see the same thing, let’s continue doing the same things, if we want to see another spiritual level in our lives? You will take a holy passion, great desire and spiritual firmness. The goal of a 90-day challenge is not easy, it goes beyond a challenge of 30 days, 60 days, it will not be something with fun in mind, or a comfortable thing, it will get you out of your comfort! It will be difficult at times, but if you persevere you will see great results!
