A Transformational Leadership (Part 2)
Topic: “A Leadership That Experiences Internal and External Change and As a Result Impacts Its Generation.”
Principle 1: To Break Barriers and Limits In Leadership Without Doubt, It Will Take A Radical Change!
Then He spoke a parable to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.
Luke 5: 36–38 (NKJV)
Read the New Testament in 90 Days
Luke 5: 36–38 (NLT) – Then Jesus gave them this illustration: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and uses it to patch an old garment. For then the new garment would be ruined, and the new patch wouldn’t even match the old garment. 37 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the new wine would burst the wineskins, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. 38 New wine must be stored in new wineskins.
Leadership Principle Development:
I ask you … Are you resisting the dynamics of change in your life, in your person? If so, you may be resisting the very work of God in you. Today the Lord wants to do something new in us. We are witnessing a new day, a fresh move of God, there is new wine of the Holy Spirit that he wishes to pour into our lives. To break down barriers to growth, it will definitely take change! These changes will be drastic and radical. The Holy Spirit wants to bring radical changes in your life to break the limits in our lives.
Much has been said about change – (8 truths about change)
1. He who never sets out to change will be an architect of decadence because the only human institution that rejects progress is the cemetery.
2. When you are done changing, you are done. – Benjamin Franklin
3. Change is difficult, but not changing is fatal.
4. The world hates change, but it is the only thing that has brought progress.
5. If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we do not grow, we are not really living.
6. Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or the present will surely miss the future. – John F. Kennedy
7. The unhappiest people are those who are afraid of change.
8. Sometimes it is true that if we do not change, we will be changed!
In this 90 Day Challenge let us allow the Holy Spirit to bring a total transformation in our lives.
Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV) – And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
Ezekiel 11:19 (NKJV) – And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart,
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) – This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
Psalm 51:10 (NKJV) – Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.
Isaiah 43: 18–19 (NKJV) – “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. 19 For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
