Day 6: Saturday, October 9 – A Transformational Leadership

Day 6: Saturday, October 9

A Transformational Leadership

Topic: “A Leadership That Undergoes Internal and External Change And as a Result Will Impacts Their Generation.”

Principle 1: To Break Through Barriers and Limits In Leadership, It Will Take A Radical Change!

Then He spoke a parable to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.

Luke 5: 36–38 (NKJV)

Plan to Read the New Testament In 90 Days

Isaiah 12-14

Bible Versions:

Luke 5: 36–38 (MSG) – 36 “No one cuts up a fine silk scarf to patch old work clothes; you want fabrics that match. And you don’t put wine in old, cracked bottles; you get strong, clean bottles for your fresh vintage wine.

Leadership Principal Development:

To break down barriers of growth, it will definitely take change! These changes will be drastic and radical. The Holy Spirit wants to bring radical changes in our lives. We can see this in the example of Jesus! Change was what Jesus wanted to do with the religious of His time, pour new wine in them! But when He offered them the new, they did not receive, they rejected it! They were clinging to their traditions and way of doing things. In John 1: 11–12 it tells us, “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”

Imagine how sad it must be to resist the change of something wonderful and new that the Holy Spirit wants to do in our lives, and not receive it because of the absence of change in us! It is very clear that today there are some leaders who have an absence of change in their lives. This is nothing new, it was so in the time of Jesus, and without a doubt there will be today. The leaders in Jesus’ day were hardened and resistant to the change that Jesus wanted to bring, and what a change to introducing grace, in a world where the Law was the norm!

The new truths were not going to fit into the old ways and methods. The fortified institutions and leaders settled in their own way, were too fragile and incompetent to contain the fresh truths that Jesus wanted to bring. They were clinging to their tradition; we have always done it this way! There are some who, if you really allow the Lord’s radical change, you would be completely unrecognizable! Like the one who prayed, “Take away everything that you don’t like!” and then he disappeared!

In this 90 Day Challenge we must allow the Holy Spirit to transform our lives. May we experience another level of influence in our leadership. All we have to do is empty ourselves and allow God’s newness to fill us. Amen!

Foundational Scriptures:

One response to “Day 6: Saturday, October 9 – A Transformational Leadership

  1. Day 6 of 90:
We have to let God transform us and totally renew our mind and being! If we refuse to change, we will become stagnant and eventually die, spiritually speaking. As 2 Timothy 3: 5 says, They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Eventually our true condition will be revealed, if we refuse to let God pull us out of religiosity and stubbornness! Come on, join this challenge and let God do the new thing he wants to do in us! 🙌🏼
