Thoughts of Devotion:

This morning it is important to understand that God has given us a clear vision for our lives and ministry. It is when we discover God’s vision that we will see the fulfillment of his destiny for us. Vision is defined as the art of seeing what is invisible to others. As 2 Corinthians 5: 7 tells us, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Only vision allows us to walk into the future without being there, and that is not easy. Sometimes all we have is to keep holding on to the vision and trust the process!

There will certainly be seasons in our lives when we will not have a clear vision of what is only 2 inches in front of us, even less what is in the distance! It is possible even in a visionary ministry like ours, and not to mention a visionary church, to experience times of what I call “vision fog.” This is when we cannot clearly see God’s plans for our lives. It may be for so many reasons that this happens, there are obstacles; from the loss of our first love in Jesus, the cares of this world, and a multitude of distractions.

Even for many this pandemic has really had a negative effect, many lost clarity of vision! This pandemic has brought a spiritual darkness over many believers, they have changed their vision for doubt, fear and complacency! They have remained in a perpetual spiritual quarantine, a continuous isolation, a spiritual social distance! Now please understand that this can happen not only to those outside the center of God’s will, but also to true spiritual giants! It happened to Habakkuk, the great prophet of God, what makes us think that it will not happen to us?

It is for this reason that today the Holy Spirit calls us to recapture God’s vision for our lives and ministry. It is necessary that we possess total obedience to the task and mission that God has given us. Today is the day to declare the words of Apostle Paul in Acts 26:19 when he said, “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.” Make the decision this morning to fulfill God’s vision for your life, this is your time!
