Daily Reading Plan

2 Chronicles 25-28

Bible Versions:

Matthew 18:19 (MSG) — I mean this. When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action.

Matthew 18:19 (CEB) — Again I assure you that if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, then my Father who is in heaven will do it for you.

Matthew 18:19 (NIV) — “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

Devotional Thought:

The Lord this morning reminds us that there is power when we agree. His Word teaches us that unity in prayer between two believers produces powerful results. It brings to mind Psalm 133:1 “! Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!” We see that To agree literally means, in one voice, in other words God wants us all together to form one symphony of prayer! And it does not take much, only two faith-filled believers who believe in the power of united prayer.

If we practice united prayer the results will be surprising. We will experience our prayers answered in a wonderful way. God will do what you ask! He is our Heavenly Father and is always more than willing to answer our requests, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him “(Matthew 18:11). He is the best Father we can have; He always wants to give us the desires of our heart. There are no impossibilities in God, all it takes is to unite our hearts and cry out to Him.

Let us take the key of united prayer today, Let’s make a commitment to pray together as one body in Christ Jesus. We cannot make it alone, but we know that in unity we can find strength! Our united prayers in the name of Jesus prayer are powerful, as John 14:13 says “And whatever you ask the Father in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” Thank God our prayers are not in vain, but powerful in the name, which is above every name, Jesus Christ! Let’s agree together in prayer and see our prayers answered in the name of Jesus.
