Thoughts Of Devotion:

The Bible teaches us that when we please God, he does things beyond what we can dream or imagine! In Ephesians 3:20 it tells us, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” God always has big plans for those looking to please Him. There is no limit to what God can do when a person decides to please God as a priority in his life. He will open doors, give us favor and grace in every situation we face.

In this portion we see how God was pleased in putting Salomon on the throne as a king. His reward was to be able to rule with righteousness and justice the people of God. What a tremendous reward that was! Imagine for a moment being used by God to lead and govern so many people, and particularly because of pleasing God first. I remember what Psalms 18:19 says, ” He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.” This is just an example of what God does with those seeking to please Him.

Today God has our promotion, our door of blessings is ready, but it will take that above all to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Only the Lord knows the many blessings that are reserved for those who seek to please His heart. He is more than ready to take us to spacious and prosperous places where we can see his blessing on our life. All He asks is that we seek above all to please Him in our walk as believers. I think this morning it is time to take this challenge; we cannot lose the opportunity that is in front of us.
