Thoughts of Devotion:
This morning we are starting a new series entitled, Internalizing The Vision 2021! The issue of vision is very important, since the Bible warns us that without a “clear vision the people perish.” The Holy Spirit wants us to run with the vision that He gives us personally and ministerially. As we begin this new 25-day series, we should ask ourselves this question, What part do I have in the vision of my church in this year 2021? I believe that during this time God wants us to have a clear and precise vision. God’s desire is that together we can see this year full of productivity and spiritual fruit, as we have never seen it in our lives and ministries. This only happens when we understand God’s vision for our lives.
When you understand God’s vision for you, then you can constantly measure and evaluate yourself throughout the year to see if you are hitting the mark. Here are some principles about the vision that will help us understand the subject a little more …
Vision is a challenge, without a challenge vision is not vision. Vision is a clear (mental) picture, the ability to see what is not yet seen with natural eyes. Vision is the future, vision always projects forward!
Vision gives us passion to fulfill God’s plan for our life. When vision penetrates the heart, it becomes passion.
The vision gives us a fixed direction towards where we must walk to reach the goal.
Vision provides motivation. Find a person who lacks motivation, and I will show you someone who has no vision, or a small vision.
Vision becomes purpose. The vision gives us a reason to get up in the morning. Now I do understand why I came to this life! Why I exist, why I breathe, the reason for my existence.
Vision brings us to produce changes to advance to the next level that God desires for our lives. The vision is never to leave things as they are.
Vision inspires generosity, it gives us a feeling of giving our resources to see the fulfillment of God’s will in our lives.
After reading these principles one manages to understand more why the Bible warns us that where there is no vision there is a danger of falling into disorder and laziness. Let’s pray this morning that in our lives we will be able to capture the vision of God burning in our hearts. That the Spirit of God can light the flame and give us illumination of the plans that He has for our lives. The year has already started! Let’s run with the vision of God in 2021.
1 Samuel 3: 1 (NKJV) – 1 Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation.
2 Chronicles 15: 3 (NKJV) – 3 For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law;
Psalms 74: 9 (NKJV) – 9 We do not see our signs; There is no longer any prophet; Nor is there any among us who knows how long.
Proverbs 8:32 (NKJV) – 32 “Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways.
