He Who Supplies Seed To The Sower

Topic: To See Expansion In 2021 The Seed of Provision Must Be Planted.

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

2 Corinthians 9:10 (NKJV)

Daily Reading Plan

Deuteronomy 8-11

Bible Versions:

2 Corinthians 9:10 (NLT) – 10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity  in you.

2 Corinthians 9:10 (MSG) – 10 This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you.

Thoughts of Devotion:

We serve a God who continually provides for us as believers. Those who place their trust and dependence on the Lord will no doubt always experience His divine provision in the year 2021. The Psalmist David said in Psalm 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.” God is faithful to always provide seeds of provision in our hands. He will never leave us without bread to eat, or without seed to sow. God will always give us the resources to use and invest in the vast fields of the gospel.

We can be sure that God always gives us seeds. My question is, what do we do with the seeds of provision that God gives us? It is important to understand that a portion of all the seeds must be sown in the spiritual, so that then we will have a harvest in the future. It is always a blessing to sow and then see the fruit of our sowing! In 2 Corinthians 9: 6 it reminds us that our harvest will be the size of our sowing, “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

The Lord today challenges us not to eat all the seeds, but rather to sow generously in his kingdom. I personally believe that God is more than ready to give us a great harvest, but we are going to have to possess the faith and obedience to sow numerous seeds. Do not let fear and doubt stop you from sowing in this new year 2021, rest assured that God will always provide for all your needs. His promise in Isaiah 55:10 tells us, ““For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater.” Let’s take up the challenge and experience God’s divine provision in our lives!

Foundational Scriptures:

2 Corinthians 9: 6 (NKJV) – 6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Isaiah 55:10 (NKJV) – 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,

Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV) – 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Genesis 47:19 (NKJV) – 19 Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants of Pharaoh; give us seed, that we may live and not die, that the land may not be desolate.”

Genesis 1:12 (NKJV) – 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

  1. God will have a harvest for our life but the only way we can experience this harvest is to plant the seeds god gives us.
