 Topic: In 2021 Our Faith Will Grow and Expand!

 3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,

 (MSG) You need to know, friends, that thanking God over and over for you is not only a pleasure; it’s a must. We have to do it. Your faith is growing phenomenally; your love for each other is developing wonderfully.

 (NIV) We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.

  Thoughts of Devotion:

This morning it is important to understand that everything that has life grows.  Growth and development comes with everything that has life.  It is for this reason that a living faith is a growing and developing faith!  The growth of our faith is something we must see in 2021. We cannot stay at the same level of faith that we have had in years past.  The year 2021 will be a time where our trust and confidence in God must increase.  The Holy Spirit wants to take us to other levels of faith, levels where we will see God’s promises materialize in our lives.

Our faith increases when we face situations that seem difficult or impossible.  It is in those moments where we must not die, but move forward and grow!  It is for this reason that Jesus told his disciples when they wavered in their faith, “So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20) Our seed of faith grows to the point of being able to see mountains of impossibility move, those mountains that have been in our path in times past will now have to move in the name of Jesus!

If there is something that God wants see in our lives in 2021, it is that our faith in Him grow, progress and increase in an extraordinary way.  The Lord Jesus intercedes at the right hand of the Father for us today, in the same way that He prayed for the Apostle Peter in Luke 22: 31–32, “And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” Be determined not to give up or give in to discouragement, fear and doubt as you face the challenges in the year 2021. It is only God wanting you to grow in your faith and trust in Him. Amen!
