Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

2 Timothy 2: 2 (NLT) – 2 2 You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others
Thoughts of Devotion:
God in this year 2021 has called us to bear fruit, He wants us to be believers that are continually expanding the gospel through discipleship. Through the Scriptures we are able to see the fruit and results of discipleship. This is the plan that God chose from the beginning of the early church. Throughout the Book of Acts it is possible to perceive how the early church inexhaustibly experienced explosive growth. So amazing was the growth that Acts 2:41 tells us, “Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.” This was the fruit of only a single day!
I wonder, will the Lord be able to do this in the year 2021? Is it possible for this history to repeat itself? Of course! But only if we follow the pattern and model that the Lord has commissioned us for discipleship. The practice of discipleship produces multiplication and growth. It is for this reason that the Apostle Paul commissioned his spiritual son Timothy to entrust this work to “faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2Tim2: 2). Paul recognized that if the gospel was to reach the nations it was necessary for others to receive the same commission that Jesus left to the disciples to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19)
Let’s pray this morning that each of us will be able to practice discipleship in our lives. Remember that this is a commission, it is not an option. The Lord has qualified us for this assignment. There is no exception in the task of discipleship, the work requires and demands of all of us. The harvest is great in these last days, and it will take the labor of each one of us. Are we ready to see the multiplication! The strategy and method is already in place, it only takes us to respond to the call of discipleship. This is the time to experience multiplication and growth!

Acts 4: 4 (NKJV) – 4 However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
Acts 5:14 (NKJV) – 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,
Acts 21:20 (NKJV) – 20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord. And they said to him, “You see, brother, how many myriads of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law;
