 Thoughts of Devotion:

In this portion of the Scriptures we see how the Prophet Isaiah managed to look to the future;  to a time of growth in the people of God.  Although things were against them, and it would seem impossible for this to happen, God declares his promise to them!  In Isaiah 54:1 he tells us, “Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and  aloud, You who have not labored with child For more arethe children of the desolate Than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.”  Conditions were sterile, fruitless and decaying, but God had a different plan than what the people were experiencing!

This morning we are a people of promise.  God through his Word teaches us that times of expansion and growth are coming for our lives and ministry.  This is a promise of which we must believe God for its fulfillment in the year 2021. We cannot be guided by what we see, but by what God has promised us!  His Word teaches us that growth and expansion is something we must continually be experiencing.  In 1 Corinthians 15:58 he tells us, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

In this New Year 2021 get ready for the growth and expansion that comes into your life.  Do not set limits, or doubt what God can do in your life, remember that you are a child of promise!  Today is the time to believe and position yourself for the expansion that God has for your life.  Even in difficult and challenging times when everything seems impossible, God has a plan of advancement and development for your life!  We must stand firm in His promise as Hebrews 10:23 tells us, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”  If we remain, God will fulfill His promise of growth in our lives.  Amen!

 Foundational Scriptures:

Hebrews 6: 1 (NKJV) – 1 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV) – 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
