Thoughts of Devotion:

The Bible promises us that God always has an ear to hear the cry of his people. We should never doubt that in difficult times the Lord hears us, “In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.”(Psalms 18: 6). On this day it is a great blessing to know that God hears our prayer. Having a God who is attentive to our cry brings security and peace to our souls. There is no reason to doubt that he hears us!

Even the Scriptures assure us that before we call for his help, he already heard us! What a blessing to know that God knows our requests even before we ask Him. His ear to hear is so sharp and fine that he has the ability to hear our need even before we cry out to Him. He promises to respond even before we cry out to Him! His ear is always attentive to our prayer, as Isaiah 59:1 tells us, “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.” There is no obstacle for God to attend to our prayer!

We can be confident that God hears us today. We can be confident and reassured that our prayers will always come before his throne. We should never doubt that he hears us, or think twice or hesitate to cry out to him. Today we must raise our voices and cry out to our God in heaven and know that he hears us! For this reason we should never let worry come to our lives, ““Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” (Matthew 6: 31-32). Thank God for having the privilege of having a God who hears!
