Topic: To Break the Barriers We need Persistence and Perseverance!
I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:14 (NKJV)
Daily Reading Plan
VOICE I am sprinting toward the only goal that counts: to cross the line, to win the prize, and to hear God’s call to resurrection life found exclusively in Jesus the Anointed.
WE Like a man running a race, I try hard to reach the line so that I will receive the prize. Because we belong to Christ Jesus, God is calling us to receive this prize that he has for us in heaven.
ERV I keep running hard toward the finish line to get the prize that is mine because God has called me through Christ Jesus to life up there in heaven.
Thoughts of Devotion:
In this morning to carry out a 90-day challenge it will take perseverance and persistence. The Bible continually tells us about the need for it, nobody achieves anything meaningful and in the long term without possessing this quality of character! It will always be necessary to continue, and not to look back but forward. In Philippians 3:13 he tells us, “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” Only by extending into our future, and taking the challenge firmly and steadfastly will we see results.
There will surely be moments in this 90-day journey that will make us want to give up, and not continue with the challenge that the Holy Spirit is bringing to our lives! But it is in those times that we must have perseverance and persistence to move forward. We will have to get up from where we are and continue this journey, only then will we see results and see the victory in our lives! A perseverance to never retreat, but to move forward as Hebrews 10:39 tells us, “But we are not of those who draws back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.”
On this day decide to persevere, decide to finish what you undertook, do not abandon the race that the Holy Spirit has set for you in these 90 days! Others will sadly stop trying, some will say it is not worth it to keep trying, but decide to be different! Take the attitude of Caleb, keep believing, meet the challenge that is before you. In Joshua 14: 8 Caleb said, “Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the Lord my God.”You can do it, don’t limit yourself, just persevere and continue with the challenges God has placed before you!
Joshua 14: 8 (NKJV) – 8 Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the Lord my God.
Luke 16:16 (KJV) – 16 The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.
2 Timothy 4: 7 (NKJV) – 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
1 Corinthians 9:24 (NKJV) – 24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
Hebrews 10:39 (NKJV) – 39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
James 1: 4 (NKJV) – 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
