Topic: Recognizing Our Spiritual Condition In The Valley.
When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long. For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

Psalms 32:3–5 (MSG) —When I kept it all inside, my bones turned to powder, my words became daylong groans. The pressure never let up; all the juices of my life dried up. Then I let it all out; I said, “I’ll make a clean breast of my failures to GOD.” Suddenly the pressure was gone— my guilt dissolved, my sin disappeared.
It is important to take time to consider and reflect on our spiritual condition while we are in our valley. It is in the valley, that we sometimes feel far from God, it is then that we must take inventory of our spiritual state. The Psalmist in this portion of Scripture had made the grave mistake of living his life with unconfessed sin, and the more he lived in this condition, the more he felt the burden of sin upon him! Proverbs 28:13 warns us, “He who conceals his sins does not prosper; But he who confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. “
It is so important is to confess our sins before God! This will be the difference between peace with God, or enmity with Him. God is more than willing to forgive and cleanse all our faults, mistakes, and transgressions we have committed in our walk with Him. But we must tale the first step, we must see the urgency to go before the Lord and confess our sin with a contrite heart! In the same way that David describes in Psalm 51:3-4, “For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight … “
Let us respond to the invitation of the Lord this day, He promises to forgive and restore our lives! Today in the middle of your valley, draw near to God and seek His forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 gives us a promise, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” If we do, the presence of the Lord and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit will surely flood our lives. Our dry and lifeless valley will turn into green pastures, where we will feed our souls with His delights and delicacies. Our soul will be satisfied in God! In the midst of the valley we will be safe and peace will flood our being.
