Thoughts Of Devotion:
We are living in the era of the Holy Spirit. Jesus ended his work on earth and is now seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. More than ever I have felt the desire to speak about the Holy Spirit, to share of how beautiful it is to have a daily communion with him. I have come understand that if we are going to live the abundant life promised by God we will need the fullness of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Only then will we be effective in our Christian life, and fulfill the mission that we have before us.
Without the work of the Holy Spirit we will be ineffective, all of our efforts will not be useful in the great task we have to accomplish. Only through the direction, wisdom, and power of the Holy Spirit we will accomplish and be successful in the mission given to us. Without him we won’t be able to do anything, we will not be able to build something of value here on earth. Today we need the Holy Spirit, his work did not stop in the Book of Acts! The ministry of the Holy Spirit is active in our days. His work is so necessary in the life of the church!
I believe that sometimes we can make the mistake of ignoring, or underestimating the importance of the person of the Holy Spirit in our lives and ministries. On occasions we dedicate ourselves to know of so many things, invest time in our friendships, but not the person of the Holy Spirit! We worry of maintaining healthy relationships with the people that surround us in our lives. But this morning it is better to give priority of our time and dedication to know more of the person of the Holy Spirit. We cannot make the mistake of not knowing the Holy Spirit intimately, let us pray that our primary relationship be with him!
