Thoughts of Devotion:
For those who know the power of prayer, they will always make time to pray! You will never be too busy to spend intimate time with the Holy Spirit. Here in this portion of Scripture it reminds us to be constant, dedicated and continue to pray at all times. To spend those moments in prayer where we will be renewed and we will receive new strengths to face the difficulties and the challenges, which will surely come as part of the Christian life! In the midst of our anguish and tribulation we will not faint as 2 Corinthians 4:16 tells us, “Therefore we do not lose heart; before, although this our outer man is wearing out, the interior nevertheless is renewed from day to day. “
It is important to understand that our whole life depends on prayer, our world would undoubtedly fall apart if it were not for the power and strength we receive when we spend time in communion with the Holy Spirit. In Ephesians 3:16 it tells us, “to give you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man by his Spirit.” It is in persistence in prayer that we will receive power, the strength to resist under pressure, we will have new strength to cope with the pressures of life! We will not surrender, we will not retreat, not when we value and practice prayer continuously.
This morning I invite you never to leave the secret place of prayer. I know that sometimes the fight is too much and you may think that you will not be able to make it, but only trust that God has everything under control! Prayer will change your atmosphere, your environment will be transformed through the presence of the Holy Spirit. In Ephesians 6:18 he tells us, “Praying at all times with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching over it with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.” Never forget that you are in a spiritual war, the enemy will fight against you with everything he has, but trust that he will be defeated by persistent prayer!
