Bible In A Year Reading Plan 2018
Isaiah 54:2–3 (MSG) — “Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You’re going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family. You’re going to take over whole nations; you’re going to resettle abandoned cities.
Isaiah 54:2–3 (NIV) — 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities
Isaiah 54:2–3 (NLT) — 2 “Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! 3 For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.
Thoughts Of Devotions:
Gods vision for our lives is not only personal and for the local church, but he has also given us a vision for the nations. An international vision! Our ministry, Victory Outreach, is a ministry that since its beginnings God had given our founding Pastors Sonny and Julie Arguizoni the vision to reach treasures out of darkness from around the world. Our mission statement reminds us that we are “called to the task of evangelizing and discipling the broken people of the world with the message of hope and plan of Jesus Christ.” What a great task God has given us this morning. It’s a task that seems to be great and full of challenges, but we understand that God has given us that mandate and means to fulfill it!
As I prayed this morning, the Lord reminded me that his promises are real and possible, That there is nothing impossible for him. On occasions when one begins to think of the immense need there is in this world, the countries that have yet to be reached, the cities that have yet to be impacted, it’s possible to be overwhelmed with a great burden and feel the weight of everything that has yet to be done in the future. Its moments like these where the Lord reminds us of the great promise He has given our ministry. A promise to inherit the nations! Psalms 2:8 tells us, “Ask, and I will give you all the nations; the whole earth will be yours”(GNT).
This year 2018 we should ask the Lord that we may capture the international vision of Victory Outreach. It is of great importance to understand that our vision is incomplete if we do not have the international vision. The heart of our founding Pastors Sonny and Julie beat for the great need there is in all the world. Let us pray this morning that their burden becomes our burden. That this burden may take us to two places, prayer and action! More than just having the blessing to say “I am Victory Outreach” or attend international events that are very important and a great blessing because they help us capture the vision. My prayer is that this year 2018 we may go further, that we would be faithful in our financial giving to United We Can. We should always have in mind that this is the instrument God has raised up to take the Gospel to the nations.
That in 2018 we may capture the international vision and be a part of everything God is doing, not only in us, not only in our local church, but also in Victory Outreach International. There is a world in need. There are countries in Latin America that have yet to be reached. This morning, will you answer the call? Are you willing to capture the international vision even more? This is the year to run with the vision, to take our place and together reach the treasures out of darkness. The Vision Continues….
