Devotional Thoughts:

As we meditate this morning about life we understand one thing, life is full of challenges! Each day as we live in this world as believers, we are faced with countless challenges. Before our eyes they sometimes seem impossible to bear and overcome. What do we do in situations like these? When our faith seems to be overcome by the great mountain of choices that faces us? We cannot sit around with our arms crossed, or think that this is just the way things are. Instead what we can do is pray that God will show us how to increase our faith!

Jesus’ disciples were continually challenged and defied by Jesus himself. His teachings and demands were sometimes difficult to bear. Jesus demanded nothing less than a genuine and authentic faith. Jesus looked at his disciples and expected them to respond with confidence and faith in Him. On this occasion Jesus had just taught the subject of forgiveness, as they should forgive their brothers, “And seven times a day if he trespass against thee, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent, ‘forgive him “(Luke 17:4) what the Lord asked of them looked far and difficult to fulfill. This led the disciples to pray unto the Lord for more faith!

Today we also likely face challenges and tests that sometimes may feel unbearable. Even walking in the Christian life and ministry that God has given us to accomplish. When the work, the people, the ministry seem to be something we cannot bear, we can cry out to the Lord for more faith! This morning we cannot give up, The Lord has much more for our lives. If he asks something of us, have assurance that He will give us faith to accomplish what His Word demands. Let us remember that we can do everything through Christ who strengthens us! Prayer will give us security and certainty that you can overcome.
