Devotional Thoughts:

In our devotional this week we will be reviewing the topic of “Freedom In Christ.” On this day the Lord calls us to walk in the freedom that He has given us. His Word declares firmly in the Gospel of John 8:32, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Glory be to God that through His Word, Jesus has made us free! We no longer walk in ignorance and spiritual darkness. We might have found ourselves lost and hopeless In our past, but now in Jesus Christ we are free from the bondage of the enemy, the chains have been broken.

Today we have come to the knowledge of the truth of the gospel, and through this we are no longer the people we were before. It’s necessary to believe that freedom is ours! Let us examine ourselves this morning and ask, are we walking in the freedom that Christ has given us? Are we living in total freedom in the Lord? If you still are not sure of this, we can run to God and with His help, reach that place of complete freedom in our lives. We must recognize that if anything binds us, we must allow Christ to do His complete work and then we will truly be free.

The only one who can give us this complete freedom is Jesus. In the world we live in, you hear a lot about freedom. All of humanity seeks it, but the only one who truly has it and can give it, is Jesus. His work of freedom is complete, as Romans 6:22 says, “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.” Jesus has made us free from sin, and there is no sin that could bind us! Let us pray that we may live in this complete freedom that Jesus has given us.
