Thoughts of Devotion:
As we contemplate the greatness of God, we can’t but give Him all our worship and praise. The greatness of God is immense and incomparable. 1 Chronicles 29:11 declares it, “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.” What a powerful description of the God we serve! Nothing and no one compares to the magnitude of our God, even the heavens can’t contain his greatness.
As we come before his throne to ask for His help and aid for our urgent situation, we must remember his great power, his majesty, without compare, there is no one like our God! No one can take His place in our life, only he is worthy of the highest praise! He deserves the best praise and worship that we have to offer. We must remove all our attention from our problem and need and be able to concentrate on his power, mercy, majesty, and greatness. Our focus should be on Him, not on our problem or situation. The more we are able to place our eyes on God, the smaller our problem will look!
Let’s never forget that only God is worthy of supreme worship. All the problems and situations that we may face in our walk, no matter how difficult they may seem, have a solution when we understand the greatness of our God. Remember that, “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, In His holy mountain.” (Psalms 48:1). My problem is not great only God is great! Even though it may be that with our eyes of doubt and fear we only see how big our problems are, the eyes of faith will only see how big our God is. Today let’s take our eyes off our problems and need and place our eyes on God. We must lift our voice in the midst of our situation and declare that only He is worthy of our worship and praise!
