Thoughts Of Devotion:
We serve a God who continually provides for us as believers. Those who put their trust and dependence on the Lord will certainly always experience his divine provision in their lives. The Psalmist David said in Psalm 37:25, ” I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.” God is faithful to always provide in our hands seeds of provision. He will never leave us without bread to eat, nor seed to sow. God will always give us the resources to use and invest them in the vast fields of the gospel.
We can rest a sure that God always gives us seeds. My question is, what do we do with the seeds of provision that God gives us? It is important to understand that a portion of all seeds should be planted in the spiritual, so that we could have a harvest in the future. It’s always a blessing to sow then see the fruit of our sowing! 2 Corinthians 9: 6 reminds us that the size of our sowing will be our harvest, “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. “
Today the Lord challenges us not to eat all the seeds, but on the contrary to sow generously into his kingdom. I personally believe that God is more than ready to give us a great harvest, but it will take for us to possess faith and obedience to sow many seeds. Do not let fear and doubt stop you from sowing on this day. Be assured that God will always provide for all your needs. His promise in Isaiah 55:10 tells us“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater.” Take the challenge and experience the divine provision of God in your life!
