The conclusion of this story is impacting; one can clearly see the overabundance of God! The widow experienced her own miracle of the miraculous provision. From just a little jar with oil, the Lord provided enough to pay the debt she had and even provided more resources for her and her children. In Proverbs 3: 9-10 we are told, “Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.” Is clear that the widow’s faith and obedience produced the overabundance of oil.
What a blessing to see how God supports and provides for those who trust Him. This is what God does with the widow after the struggles and difficulties, we see His great blessings upon her life. In Deuteronomy 7:13 it tells us, “And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you.” It is the blessing of God that marks the superabundant provision in our lives.
When you trust in the Lord, He will always bring us out of our crisis and difficulties and lead us to live a life of abundance. In reading this story our faith and expectation must grow we should know God has everything under control. At the end of story we will see our miracle of provision, in the midst of our shortages and needs in 2017.
