Today we depend on the Holy Spirit to receive the revelation of the Word in us. He is the only one who can reveal the truths of the Word of God. It was the Holy Spirit who inspired the written Word as Peter 2 Peter 1:21 tells us, “for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit..”The Holly Spirit is the only one that can make the Bible more than ink and paper, but real and powerful in our hearts” Receiving life and food to our spiritual man.
It is the Holy Spirit who has the complete and accurate knowledge of the Scriptures. He wants to reveal them to us, so we can understand them in their entirety. In 1 Corinthians 2:13 we are told, 1 Corinthians 2:13 “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” When we depend on the Holy Spirit to enlighten His Word, Our lives will be radically transformed! He is the only one who can open our hearts and understanding to receive all His Word has for us. The Holy Spirit delights to reveal and instruct us in His Word!
This morning is very important to depend on the Holy Spirit. He is the divine instrument to understand all that is written in the Word of God. Without his assistance we will never understand his Word, as 1 Corinthians 2:14 tells us, “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” We need His discernment, His direction to understand the Word of God. Only an absolute dependence on Him will produce a life grounded in the eternal Word of the Lord.
