Thank God for a brand new year! As we enter this year 2017 it is necessary to recognize how much we need the Holy Spirit in our lives and ministries. In this new year it is very important to realize how much we need the help and assistance of the Holy Spirit daily, without total dependence on Him we will never be able to fulfill the divine will of God! We will find ourselves frustrated building in vain, without effectiveness and success as Psalm 127: 1 states, “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. “
Today the Holy Spirit reminds us how much we need Him to face the challenges, trails and obstacles that await us in the New Year. We are encouraged by his word to never depend on our own abilities or strengths, but on the contrary to completely surrender our will to the Holy Spirit dwelling in us! Sure success is only found in a total dependency, a 100% of our all in the power of the Holy Spirit. Only his power, dominion, and authority in 2017 will guarantee complete victory.
We cannot replace the power and strength of the Holy Spirit with our human weaknesses in 2017. We cannot depend on our own human strengths and abilities. Our spiritual survival will never depend on how strong we are, how much valor we have or intelligence, it will only be through the fullness of the Holy Spirit over our lives! With all the resources we have, it will never compare to the resources that the Holy Spirit has to give us complete victory! With the power of the Holy Spirit all opposition will be reduced to nothing.
