Thoughts Of Devotion:
Today God is calling us to once again return to have intimacy with Him. If we have departed, or we have strayed from Him in our heart, it is time to come back home! God is more than willing to enjoy a time of intimate communion with us personally. He stands at the door and calls us by name as Revelation 3:20 declares, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” The table is served and a sweet communion with Him awaits us, Let us take the invitation!
We have to make peace with God if things will ever get better. We must recognize that nothing will thrive in our lives until we completely reconcile with God. The words of 1 Chronicles 28: 9 say this to us, “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.” We have to make the right decision to submit to God so that things will go better for us.
The key to see the best is to have a greater intimacy with the Father. When we have this closeness to the Lord we can trust that everything will be fine. Psalm 34:10 says, “The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” Thank God that when we seek Him we will not have need of nothing, He will supply all that we need! His blessing will be upon everything we do. His peace will flood us and we can be confident of everything that this new year brings to our lives.
