Bible Versions:

Psalms 36:5 (MSG) — God’s love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic, His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic.

Lamentations 3:23 (NLT) — Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

Devotional Thoughts:

Having a better understanding of God’s faithfulness, as the Bible describes, will bring security and confidence in our walk with God. It is a very important topic because we are certainly going to go through times where circumstances will cloud our spiritual sight, and we will not see what is happening clearly. In theses times we must remember that God is faithful in every trial and crisis we are going through!

The Psalmist describes in the Bible, “Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.” The Psalmist describes God’s faithfulness as the highest place a person can conceive. How big and great is the faithfulness of God? How can we describe the extent of His faithfulness to us? When you think how His faithfulness is to the heavens, it teaches us how God’s faithfulness is something beyond our finite understanding. Everything that has to do with His faithfulness in our lives is great, immense and incomparable. It is for this reason that we declare what Lamentations 3:23 tells us, “They are new [His mercies] every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

Today we must remember that His faithfulness has no limit toward us. It’s a dimension of faithfulness which only God can demonstrate. Nobody is as faithful as God! No one or anything can reach this dimension of faithfulness as God shows us every day. There is an endless source of God’s faithfulness for us this morning. He wants to prove His faithfulness in every situation we may be going through. Remember what He promises us in 1 Thessalonians 5:24, “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” God will do whatever He has to do for us, his intervention in our crisis situation is always on time. Just trust and hope in Him!

Topical References:
