The Holy Spirit enables us to be kind to others. Only he can give us the ability to be kind to one another. The word kindness describes someone who is characterized by showing goodwill, understanding and sympathy towards the people around us. In Colossians 3:12 it says to us, ” Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering;.” The Holy Spirit clothe us with kindness, makes us people that build the lives of others and become a great blessing to others.
The person who is characterized with kindness has good qualities like sympathy, understanding, goodwill people that surround him. It can be said that a kind person is always a good friend, since they have good intentions, is sincere, understanding and tolerant. This is what the Holy Spirit does when we have His fullness, we experience a transformation with others! This is why Ephesians 4:32 tells us, “32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” When we give the fruit of the Holy Spirit, We will have the desire to do good and always think the best of others.
Today more than ever the world needs to see believers filled with the Holy Spirit, people who show supernatural kindness. In Philippians 2: 3-4 we are told, “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” When the Holy Spirit is working in us, we will be people who care and are interested in the welfare of others, before ourselves. In conclusion we should pray that we have a kind temperament, it is possible to change the way we are! This is an internal work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts.
