Devotional thoughts:

One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is patience. Patience is a virtue that has the ability to endure, tolerate and go through adverse situations that come at different times in our lives. In Ephesians he tells us, “with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,” (4: 2). Patience is the ability to be slow to wrath and enrage when we face unpleasant situations that want to irritate us. Patience is something that is expected of a believer that have matured in his spiritual life. Only those who walk in the fullness of the Spirit can bear the fruit of patience!

The Bible teaches us that only the fruit of the Spirit produces this, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” (Galatians 5:22). We understand that the ability to control anger is something we cannot do that ourselves, in our own strength. We need the help and intervention of the Holy Spirit! Without him we cant do nothing. The inward change and the ability to cast aside anger and grow in patients is something that only God can produce in us. The answer to be a more patient  believer, and be able to endure everything that comes into our lives is found in the person of the Holy Spirit.

We must pray to the Lord this morning to give us the grace and ability to grow in patience regardless of the situations we face. The only solution to overcome anger and frustration is the divine patience! In 1 Thessalonians 5:14 he tells us, “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all..” Patience is the attitude That leads us to be able to withstand setbacks and difficulties. I invite you this morning to ask God for his help and grace to change and become a patient person. In the name of Jesus! We believe it.

Foundational Scriptures:

Luke 21:19 (NKJV)- 19 By your patience possess your souls.

1 Peter 2:20(NKJV)- 20 For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.

Colossians 3:12 (NKJV)- 12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering;

1 Thessalonians 5:14 (NKJV)- 14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock,And established my steps.

  1. Yes!!! God, help my patience grow more everyday so I will be able to wait on Your timing, not mine! ❤
    James 1:4 (NLT)- 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

  2. I believe that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand… You see, when we let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in our life…And when we trust God, we are able to be more patient…Patience is not just about waiting for something… it’s about how we wait, or our attitude while waiting… Lord give me patience🙏🏽📖✌🏽️☕️

  3. Lord patience is a virtue that Christians need in order to stay following you, which is why my prayer is that the fruit of pacience may be present in my life in the good and the tough times!!! I pray that I may have pacience and hat I may guard me heart!!
