Bible Versions:

Psalm 104:27-28 (NLT) ― 27 They all depend on you to give them food as they need it. 28 When you supply it, they gather it. You open your hand to feed them, and they are richly satisfied.

Psalm 132:15New Living Translation (NLT) ―15 I will bless this city and make it prosperous; I will satisfy its poor with food.

Thoughts of Devotion:

Today it is a great blessing to serve a God who is very generous with us. Nothing compares to His generosity! We are able to admire His generosity everywhere, even in His creation as stated in Psalm 147: 8, “Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.” Every day, every morning He pours over us His many blessings. We are blessed with the breath of life, we enjoy another day of seeing His destiny and purpose inn our lives daily.

As the Psalmist David meditated on God’s many blessings he asked himself, What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me? (Psalm 116: 12) This is the same question we need to ask ourselves on this day. Just look at the great love the Lord has demonstrated us. We must always admire his many mercies that He has had with us. As we practice, surely our hearts will be filled with gratitude. We will declare, God is good and there is none like Him! He always opens his hand and fills us with so many blessings.

In seeing God’s generosity we have no choice, but to respond to Him more generously. He gives us hands full, and the least we can do is give without reservation everything we’ve received from His hands. It reminds me of 1 Chronicles 29:14 where King David declares, “But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You. “As you read this today, we must always be challenged to be generous to God with everything we have. What we give to God he never stays with. In time He blesses it and multiplies it back to us!

Foundational Scriptures:

Psalm 90:14 (NKJV) ― 14 Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days!

Job 38:41 (NKJV) ― 41 Who provides food for the raven, When its young ones cry to God, And wander about for lack of food?

Joel 1:20 (NKJV) ― 20 The beasts of the field also cry out to You, For the water brooks are dried up, And fire has devoured the open pastures.

Psalm 147:8 (NKJV) ― Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.

  1. Thank you Jesus for all your blessings upon my life even when I don’t deserve them but most of all thank you for the unconditional love you have for me.
    Psalm 90:14 (NIV)
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,
that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

  2. God is a generous God. He has blessed us every day. He has always giving us many things. We must give are all to God because he the one that gives us all. If we give to God he will multiply it when he gives it back.

  3. We must give generously if we want the glory of god to pour over us!! Lord I will sew what I want to reap!!
