So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will havethem.

Daily Reading Plan
Mark 11:22–24 (NLT) — 22 Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. 23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. 24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
Mark 11:22–24 (MSG) — 22 Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything.
Thoughts of Devotion:
This morning we are reminded by His word to “have faith in God.” Jesus desires for our faith not to be in anything else than in Him. In all that we accomplish in life we must be sure that our faith is anchored and founded on the Lord. When one can do this, there is no limit to what God can do. The Bible promises us in Mark 9:23, “Jesus said: If you can believe, to those that believe everything is possible.” Our faith in God is what makes the difference between the impossible and possible!
What mountain of impossibility do we have before us? It may be disease, family problems, financial, etc. There are so many things that like a big mountain come before us. A mountain that continually gets in front of our lives preventing us from achieving progress and from moving forward in our Christian life. Sometimes causing doubt and fear in us! In James 1:6 we are warned, “because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed back and forth. Let not such person believe that he shall receive anything from the Lord. “
Today we need to cast out doubt and fear of our lives. How do we do this? Only through prayer. Prayer of faith is what will make the difference between the impossible and possible! Jesus tells us in His Word, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you receive it, and you shall have it.” (Mark 11:24). We must pray in faith, knowing that the Lord’s promises will be fulfilled in our lives. We should pray confident that our prayer will be heard by our Father in heaven. The faith-filled prayer has the power to move every mountain of impossibility.
Matthew 17:20 (NKJV) — 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Mark 9:23 (NKJV) — 23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Luke 17:6 (NKJV) — 6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.Matthew 21:21–22 (NKJV) — 21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.22And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
James 1:5–7 (NKJV) — 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
