Thoughts of Devotion:

This morning the Holy Spirit desires to do much more in us and through us. He desires that we would experience another level of his presence and glory. This is what 2 Corinthians 3:18 exactly tells us, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” The Holy Spirit desires to do greater and more powerful things in our lives. This is the program of the Spirit; to go beyond, to deepen our lives in his presence!

There are things that the Holy Spirit desires to do that we can’t even imagine, great, major and extraordinary things! In 1 Corinthians 2:9 it tells us, “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” It is these things that we can only achieve to see when we decide to go to other levels of intimacy with Him. It’s in our daily communion that we will break barriers that are holding us back from advancing in our spiritual development. They are things that He has beforehand put in our future; we are destined to reach those great things that we haven’t seen yet!

To know these things we must seek his face daily. These supernatural plans that he has for our lives are revealed in the intimacy of his presence. When our spiritual priorities are right, The Lord gives us things we haven’t asked for as the case was for King Solomon in 1 Kings 3:13, “And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days.” He will give you what your heart desires, those desires that are kept deep in your heart. Today the Holy Spirit reassures that the best is yet to come, He can do much more than what we can imagine or ask for!

  1. Thank you Father for you know the deepest desires of my heart even before I know them myself. Keep changing me more like you in your glorious image.
    1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)
9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
