The Holy Spirit Gives Life
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:63 (NKJV)
Topic: The Holy Spirit Giver Of Life
Daily Reading Plan
John 6:63 (NLT) — 63 The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
John 6:63 (NIV) — 63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.
John 6:63 (MSG) — 63 The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don’t make anything happen. Every word I’ve spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making.
Thoughts Of Devotion:
It is the Spirit that gives life! This is a powerful truth. Wherever the Spirit of God moves, the result will be that there is life and life in abundance, supernatural life, a life full of vitality and power. In Romans 8:11 it tells us, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
It is not only a temporary life, but the Holy Spirit gives us eternal life! It is the highest quality of life that there can be. Only the breath of the Spirit can sustain the true life within us. In the midst of death and spiritual discouragement comes the breath, the power of the Holy Spirit reviving our spiritual condition. It is only the Holy Spirit that can bring life where there is death, as it is declared in Ezequiel 37:9, “Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”
Today is the time to experiment supernatural life in another level. We have been born again and now the Holy Spirit has affected a complete transformation in us as it tells us in John 3:6-7, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’” The Holy Spirit desires that we experiment a supernatural life, that we achieve to break barriers of impossibility and death. It is not time to stay in the minimum, but on the contrary, we must anticipate the maximum of God!
John 3:6 (NKJV) — 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Genesis 2:7 (NKJV) —7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Romans 8:2 (NKJV) —2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
1 Corinthians 15:45 (NKJV) —45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being. “The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:6 (NKJV) — 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
1 Peter 3:18 (NKJV) — 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) —— 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
