Thoughts Of Devotion:
Thank God for the Holy Spirit! It is a great blessing to understand that he is working in our lives today. His work is so essential and important in us, we need it more than ever. Jesus describes the work of the Holy Spirit in John 14:26, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” The Holy Spirit is our Helper and his work is real over our lives. Day to day he is faithful to work in the deepest part of our heart.
The continuous work of the Holy Spirit in us, is to achieve that we give fruit in abundance, spiritual and lasting fruit! The Bible gives great emphasis in how the fruit of the Holy Spirit will be seen in our lives as believers in various ways. When we have the fruit of the Spirit there is love, joy, peace, patience, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control in our lives. Only the Holy Spirit can produce this in us! Only his work in us can produce a genuine and real peace in each believer.
It is important to recognize that only the Holy Spirit can produce the fruit of peace in us, never on our own strengths! On our own it would be impossible to reach the peace that only his work produces. I ask myself, what is our responsibility to see the fruit of peace? We can only yield and give our will to Him. The evidence that we live under the power and dominion of the Spirit will be a life full of peace and serenity. Let us pray that in the midst of every adverse and difficult situation, we would be able to demonstrate peace in our lives.

Isaiah 57:19 (NKJV) ― 19 “I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who isnear,” Says the Lord, “And I will heal him.”
Romans 15:13 (NKJV) ― 13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
