Thoughts of Devotion:
This morning the character of God is to always give his children more. He never holds back, he always desires to give much more to our lives and congregation. In the language of God, impossibility of limits that we on occasions put on ourselves doesn’t exist. There are great things in our future that the Holy Spirit desires to fulfill in us. In 1 Corinthians 2:9 it tells us, “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.””
The word limit means border or barrier. It is a limitation, a restriction, it is when we limit God by putting him in a box! We think that he can’t work more than what He has already done in us or in our situation. I ask you are you limiting yourself? Are you experiencing a time of complacency or stagnation? Have you not seen new things from God in your life? Do you live a routine life? Do you believe that God doesn’t have anything more for your life? Do you have an attitude that you’ve made it already? Do you find yourself in a situation where each day you end it the same, do you have the same battles, the same habits, the same mountain of impossibility, the same mentality, walking the same route, saying the same thing, giving the same amount, demonstrating the same attitude.
Now is the time to remove the limits! The time to get out of the routine, of being stagnate, of being in a state of comfort and complacency. The Holy Spirit desires to do much more than we can think and ask. Much more abundant means “super abundant” and “incredibly abounding.” The Holy Spirit has the capacity to carry out his purposes, beyond the greatest powers of human comprehension! There are things that God is more than ready to do, if only we do not put limits! In Ephesians 1:3 it tells us, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Ask yourself, what are all the spiritual blessings that are available for our lives?
Today there is no limit in his blessings, his plans and his purpose in your life. There is a power through the Holy Spirit that dwells in us, that brings to realization the unimaginable, the things that are out of the ordinary. What we can’t even imagine can happen, surely it will happen! Amen.
