Thoughts of Devotion:
Since the beginning of creation we can see the work of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God, giver of life, participated in the creation in a special way. His activity was very evident, he moved over the surface of the water! In Psalms 104:30 it tells us, “You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth.” The Holy Spirit as an agent of creation began a great work in the new creation. From that which had no form and was in chaotic conditions, he formed a great creation of the universe as we see it today.
It was the Holy Spirit that adorned creation, as it is declared in Job 26:13, “By His Spirit He adorned the heavens; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.” Everything we see today in the beauty of creation like the stars, the planets, nature, the trees, the birds, and the great fish, etc. all of these things were given life through the Spirit of God. He was attentive, watching over and protecting the process of creation, he moved over everything, over the face of the waters. From what was disorderly, chaotic, and empty, he brought order and beauty! The Holy Spirit made all the preparations for the active operation of the creative Word of God.
Thanks to the Holy Spirit for his creative work, it’s only through his activity in the creation that we can see such beauty and great splendor in the entire universe. Up until today we see that his care and protection are still active. Even in our own lives, the Holy Spirit desires to bring life and order to the things that are out of our control. Those circumstances or areas in our lives where there is chaos and confusion, the Holy Spirit desires to work in a special way! Maybe in the natural we won’t know how, but the Holy Spirit is creative, he knows how to work and bring everything under his divine order! If only we yield our entire life to him, he will take care of everything else!

Isaiah 40:12-14 (NKJV) — 12 Who has measured the waters[a] in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales And the hills in a balance? 13 Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, Or as His counselor has taught Him? 14 With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, And taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, And showed Him the way of understanding?
