Thoughts Of Devotion:
The Holy Spirit and the Word of God always go hand in hand. If one desires to know the Holy Spirit more and hear his voice then one must have the Bible as the center in our devotional time. In 2 Peter 1:21 it tells us, “for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they weremoved by the Holy Spirit.” It was the Holy Spirit that inspired the written Word, it is the breath of God over the written Word! If someone were to illuminate the Word it is the Holy Spirit, He was the instrument of inspiration! It is through every scripture that we can receive direction in our lives!
The Word of God is alive, because the Holy Spirit is intertwined between the pages. In Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of Godisliving and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” The Holy Spirit through the word does the internal work in us, it will transform us and we will be taken to another level in our communion with Him. The words in the Bible become real and an illumination from the Holy Spirit comes down for us to understand His will for our lives.
The Holy Spirit uses the Word in our hearts to form us, transform us and gives a new form to our heart. In Ezequiel 11:19-20 it gives us a powerful promise, “Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.” The result is action, not only knowing the Bible well without doing, but living its ordinances. Only then will we put his commandments to action, as evidence of his Word in us. Without the Word and the Holy Spirit teaching us there is no transformation! The Holy Spirit works the Word to transforms us more in the image of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:13-14 (NKJV) ― 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the HolySpirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
