Thoughts Of Devotion:
This morning no one is excluded from the promise of the Holy Spirit, His outpouring and power is accessible to all! Including those from a lower social level. Those that many times are not noticed or given value to. In 1 Corinthians 12:13, it tells us, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” In the world we live in, it is easy to be excluded from some things and benefits, but it’s not this way in the spiritual things! God does not make exceptions of people.
After the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church, (who is the body of Christ here on earth) which is composed of different people, but in the eyes of the Lord everyone is one in Christ. In Galatians 3:28 it tells us, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Thank the Lord for this truth, the door of opportunity is open for all of us. The Holy Spirit is being poured out on different parts of the world, over different social and ethic groups.
We are all one in Christ, we are not slaves anymore, we’re free in Christ and we are all one family in the Lord. We have the same mission to take this gospel to the ends of the earth. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, we should enjoy of the fraternal love in the Spirit. If the Holy Spirit doesn’t make separation, if the promise given is that it will be poured out on all flesh, then we must do the same! In Colossians 3:11 it reminds us once again saying, “where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christis all and in all.”
Joel 2:29 (NKJV) ― 29And also onMymenservants and onMymaidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
1 Corinthians 7:21-22 (NKJV) ― 21Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it.22For he who is called in the Lord whilea slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ’s slave.
Galatians 3:28 (NKJV) ― 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:11 (NKJV) ― 11where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christis all and in all.
James 1:1 (NKJV) ― 1 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.
