The Great Days Of Expectation

Events After The Pentecost

Study from Chapters 1:1-5

The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:1–5 (NKJV)

Daily Reading Plan

Job 19-21

Principles For Application In Our Lives

  1. We need to follow the model left by our Lord JesusChrist, His life continues through us, his church, today! The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Acts 1:1 (NKJV)

  2. We must let the Holy Spirit enable us and pour out his anointing, if we will complete the mission of the church with effectiveness! Until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, Acts 1:2 (NKJV)

  3. We have been called to give testimony of Jesus, We are blessed because we have believed without seeing him! To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Acts 1:3 (NKJV)

  4. The Holy Spirit dwells in us, we have the Comforter with us to guide us and lead us to the truth. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; Acts 1:4 (NKJV)

  5. Through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit we are now witnesses, We have been trained to complete the mission of Jesus in our lives! For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:5 (NKJV)
