His Salvation Is Near To Those Who Fear Him

Topic: God Gives His Salvation To Those Who Fear Him

Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land.

Psalms 85:9 (NKJV)

Daily Reading Plan

1 Kings 19-21

Bible Versions:

Psalms 85:9 (MSG) — See how close his salvation is to those who fear him? Our country is home base for Glory!

Psalms 85:9 (NLT) — Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so our land will be filled with his glory.

Psalms 85:9 (NIV) — Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that his glory may dwell in our land.

Devotional Thought:

What great salvation we have in God, His salvation is incomparable! The Psalmist takes a moment to express this precise salvation of God in his life. He always trusted and was sure that God would save him from every dilemma and situation. In Psalm 27:1 he declares, “The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid?” What a blessing it is to understand that God is our light and salvation, there is nothing that we achieve being filled with the fear of man. Nothing will harm us, we are fully secure in God.

A security and confidence that only comes when we live our lives in ways that honor and reverence God. A trust in which one personally experienced salvation. Psalm 20:6 tells us, “Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; You will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand”. The Lord wants us to personally experience His salvation. May we come to declare the words of the Psalmist. The Lord is mighty to save us and deliver us from all danger and dilemma! There is nothing impossible or out of reach for God’s help.

If we need to see His salvation in our midst today, all it takes is to have the fear of God in our lives. He wants to encourage us this day, and fill us with confidence to face the challenges of tomorrow. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow, we do not understand the changes and challenges we will face in our future. There are things that only God knows, situations that will come into our lives, without warning! But if we fear God, He will be faithful and undoubtedly aid us and demonstrate His great salvation in our lives. Let us pray this day, that we may always possess a reverence to God in our hearts, and we will certainly see His salvation.
