I wonder, does God have favorite or privileged children? Does God make exceptions with certain people? Taking a look at the lives of some believers, and the lives of others, one sometimes can see a big difference. Occasionally one sees a person blessed and another living in famine! While some believers live with the peace of God, others live in anxiety and worry. Some make the mistake of thinking that God only blesses some, or that it’s just a coincidence that the blessing of God is upon the lives of some, and not others.
But the Bible teaches us that none of this is by coincidence or plain luck, on the contrary, Scripture teaches us that the opposite is true! His Word shows us clearly that those who fear the Lord will see His blessing upon their lives. Psalm 128:1 declares, “Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in his ways”. Those who fear God are blessed, richly blessed, without exception! People great and small will see the incomparable blessings upon their lives when they fear The Lord. This is the promise of God to our lives, we will be blessed by Him
By reading this, you need to examine yourself and ask, are we experiencing the blessing of God upon us? Are we living under the blessings of the windows of heaven? Recognize that what it will take to see the blessings in our lives is to honor and fear God daily. Surely the Lord would bless our lives in a great way. Certainly the opportunity to live under His blessing is available to all! I’m blessed by what Malachi 4:2 says, “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness with healing in his wings, and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall”.
Revelation 11:18 (NKJV) — The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Psalms 128:1 (NKJV) — Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.
Psalms 128:4 (NKJV) — Behold, thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the Lord.
Malachi 4:2 (NKJV) — But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.
