Thoughts of Devotion:
This morning there is nothing that can come against God’s will and plan. When the Lord decides to do something, He certainly will! In Numbers 23:19 it says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” God does not lie; we can trust and be assured that if he promised it, it will certainly be fulfilled. If he said he would do something, He certainly will! If He decides to bless our lives, there is no way the enemy can stop God’s blessing.
We see this example in the people of Israel, Balak the king of Moab wanted the prophet Balak to curse the people, but every time he tried, quite the opposite happened! In Deuteronomy 23:5 it tells us, “Nevertheless the Lord your God would not listen to Balak, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.” God’s plan was to bless his people and certainly his blessing would rest upon them. On the contrary, when the prophet Balak opened his mouth to curse, the only thing that came out was blessings!
Thank God he has the last word, if he decides to bless no one who can change that. If God has commanded blessings, in no way can the enemy curse! In Numbers 23:20 it says, “Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.” The order is in place and there is no way that others can overturn what God is determined to do. This morning, put your trust in God; do not depend on anyone else. At the end of the day, it will be the Lord who will have the last word. Do not fear what the enemy can do to you! If God is with you, who can be against you?
Numbers 22:6 (NKJV) — 6 Therefore please come at once, curse this people for me, for they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”
