Thoughts Of Devotion:

In our walk with the Lord we will face moments where we get tired in our journey. Different situations, testing and difficult times come to wear our spiritual strength and zeal. We reach a point in our lives where we no longer possess the strength to go on. We feel all the weight of the world on our shoulders, without finding where to shelter ourselves! At this time we feel the heavy yoke of life without finding rest. It is then that we must do what Jeremiah 6:16 says, ” Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.

Thank God there is an invitation this morning to all who are heavy laden. His Word says Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest! The Lord gives us rest for our souls, new strength to our tired and weary lives. There is no reason why we should enter a new year this way, there is hope for our situation. In Hosea 11:4, it tells us, ” I drew them with gentle cords, With bands of love, And I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck, I stooped and fed them.”

God has better days for our lives, surely we will receive new strengths for another year. The Lord’s yoke is not heavy, it is very easy to carry. In Jeremiah 31:25 it is declared, “For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.” Do not walk one more day exhausted and without strength to go on, now the Lord wants to lift that heavy yoke you’re wearing! His plan is to give rest and peace to your soul. The best days are ahead, the days of walking tired and without spiritual advancement have been left behind. This morning take from the strengths of the Lord, just raise your hands and let the strength of the Lord fill you until you are overflowing. Amen!

  1. Amen it’s a new year with new beginnings there is no reason to be heavy weighted because the lord is lifting it off our shoulders

  2. We must not get tired of God calling. Sometimes we fell like the world on your shoulder but God can give us relief. If we are sad and tied we must ask for God help. We must let God strength flow through us.
