Thoughts Of Devotion:

Happy New Year 2016! We have officially entered a completely brand new year, God has given us joy and satisfaction to see another year of life. There is a feeling of excitement and great joy in our midst. There is so much that God has prepared for us, The Best is Yet to Come! This is the attitude and perspective with which we must receive the new year. The reason for this is that we have God’s promise. His word tells us, ” There is hope in your future, says the Lord, That your children shall come back to their own border.” (Jeremiah 31:17 NKJV).

Today we have hope, security and the certainty that the best is yet to come in 2016. His Word promises us in 1 Corinthians 2: 9 ” But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” As I read this scripture our being must be full of expectation and hope for the future. In our spirit we must have it very definite that God has prepared great things, things that even our natural eyes have not seen, but he already has established and determined our future!

Not even for a moment can we doubt the care and security that God offers us daily. We can go this year being confident and secure in what lies ahead for our lives. Do not fear! No matter what we see around us, no matter the opposing things that have come into our lives, today we have the peace of God! Recall Job 11:18, “And you would be secure, because there is hope; Yes, you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety.” Be at peace in God, trust in Him, resting in his presence, because the best is yet to come. Blessings!
