And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them – walking, leaping, and praising God.
Acts 3:7-8 (NKJV)
Acts 3:7-8 (NLT) — Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.
Acts 3:7-8 (MSG) —He grabbed him by the right hand and pulled him up. In an instant his feet and ankles became firm. He jumped to his feet and walked. The man went into the Temple with them, walking back and forth, dancing and praising God.
As the disciples take up Jesus’ task to perform miracles, wee see the first that is recorded is the healing of the paralytic of the temple. A man who had been lame from birth, and lived all his life on the alms of those entering the temple. What a sad condition! Just thinking about how sad and miserable his daily life must have been. But, praise God that one day the miracle of healing came where he was. The day he heard Peter say, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). What a glorious day it is when the miracle comes to our situation!
As I read this today, I wonder what the miracle produced in the heart of this man? The Bible teaches that the fruit was praise and worship. This is what a miracle always produces! There was nothing anyone could do to stop this man from leaping, jumping and praising God. The first thing he did was go to the temple and make a celebration unto the Lord. We even see that praise didn’t just burst from his lips, but also from those who had witnessed the miracle, they were stunned after seeing such a great miracle.
This morning, embrace this word and believe God for your miracle. Wherever we are, the Lord wants to manifest His miraculous power in our situation. Today lets raise our praise and worship unto God in the midst of our situation. Believe that your miracle is in process! Just praise God wholeheartedly. Do not let anyone or anything steal your joy, your praise, your worship. Raise your voice in Jubilee, for all that God has already done, and all He will do. In conclusion I remind you that the day will come when even the mute will sing to Him for His great wonders, “Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. (Isaiah 35:6)
Exodus 15:11 (NKJV) — 11 “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?
Exodus 15:21 (NKJV) — And Miriam answered them: “Sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!”
Psalms 9:1 (NKJV) — I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
Daniel 3:28 (NKJV) — Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!
Acts 4:21–22 (NKJV) — So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been.
