Thoughts Of Devotion:
This morning, as we meditate on the many occasions that God has rescued us, the difficult moments He has brought us out, one can clearly say that nothing compares to the help of God! It is for this reason that we must take a time to celebrate God’s help in our lives. Psalm 21: 1 tells us, “The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!” (NTV). The joy that one experiences when we see all that God has done for us is incomparable. You cannot withhold it, or keep calm, on the contrary, one has to express it with all his might!
The wonder David expresses himself in this Psalm with such joy and excitement, his heart broke into a song of thanksgiving, a new song of celebration for the victory and triumph that God had given to him. David was reminded of the many situations that the Lord had delivered him from. In Psalm 40:17 it says, “But I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God.” David recognized that he was always in the mind of God. Everything at the end of the day would be fine, because the Lord was his deliver, his help, and he trusted that God would always arrived in time to rescue him.
Today I invite you to celebrate the help of God on your life, it is not time to complain or even to let the enemy steal our joy! We celebrate his great loyalty to us, the help of God manifested through the years. We sing a song of joy, of rejoice to the Rock of our salvation. It’s time to sing His victory as we read in Exodus 15: 1, “Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying: “I will sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!” Celebrate the great wonders that He has shown us.
