Daily Reading Plan
Malachi 3:11 (NLT) — 11 Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
Malachi 3:11 (NIV) — 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty.
Thoughts of Devotion:
Nothing compares to the protection and care of God! His promise is that He will rebuke the devourer so he cannot destroy the provision in our lives. In Zechariah 8:12 it says, ‘For the seed shall beprosperous, The vine shall give its fruit, The ground shall give her increase, And the heavens shall give their dew— I will cause the remnant of this people To possess all these.” Praise God that our supply is protected and covered by the Lord on this day. The enemy cannot steal all the blessings that God has prepared for us.
To see this protection achieved in our lives and have this assurance we will need to demonstrate our faithfulness to God. Something we are sure of is that God always keeps his promises, if we do our part! All that He asks of us is that we are faithful in our giving. The key is a faithfulness in our tithes and offerings! When we exercise our faith and commitment to God in this, His provision and care will be secure in our lives. The enemy cannot devour our provision. It is God who protects and sustains us!
Let us remember that tithes and offerings were established as a physical and earthly demonstration of our commitment to God. They serve as a material and external testimony that God is the owner of the material and spiritual things of our lives. When you set the Lord as the owner of all, the result will be that He will take care of all your provision! There is no reason to doubt or fear if we have been faithful. Today is the day to start being faithful to God with our tithes and offerings.
If we faithfully dedicate ourselves in this in 2015, God promises to restore even what the enemy has stolen from us. In Joel 2:25 says, “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. God wants to protect our supply, but it will be necessary for us to trust and depend in Him. Blessings!
Joel 1:4 (NKJV) — 4 What the chewing locust left, the swarming locust has eaten; What the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten;
And what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.
Joel 2:25 (NKJV) — 25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.
Deuteronomy 11:14 (NKJV) — 14 then I[a] will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
Habakkuk 3:17 (NKJV) —17 Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls—
Zechariah 8:12 (NKJV) — 12 ‘For the seed shall be prosperous, The vine shall give its fruit, The ground shall give her increase, And the heavens shall give their dew— I will cause the remnant of this people To possess all these.
